Monday 10th TAWA PROGRESSIVE AND RATEPAYERS ASSOCIATION
Become involved in Having Pride in Tawa. Public participation is welcome at our monthly meeting normally held on the 2nd Monday at 7.30pm, Room A6, Tawa Community Centre, 5 Cambridge Street, Tawa (entry via the back door). Wednesday 12th TAWA CENTRAL KINDERGARTEN CRAFT FAIR
7.30-9.30pm at Tawa Central Kindergarten, 21 Oxford St, Tawa. Have an evening out browsing the stalls at our craft fair. Jewellery, children's toys, giftware, cooking, books, stationery and other craft items. Buy now for Christmas! Entry by gold coin donation. Complimentary refreshments. Thursday 13th TAWA COMMUNITY BOARD MEETING
7pm at the Tawa Community Centre in Cambridge Street. As a member of the public you are most welcome to attend any board meetings and, if you wish to speak, you can take part in the Public Participation at the beginning of the meeting. Enquiries to Chair, Robert Tredger, on 232 5982.

Saturday 29th TAWA'S 'TRIVIA CHALLENGE'
"Let the Battle of the Wits begin!" Get together your work teams, community group teams, church teams, sports teams, family teams, friends teams ... Food available to buy ... Bottle Auction. It's the big '6 on 6 challenge' (6 team members) at the Emmaus Centre, back of St Christopher's Church at 6.30pm. Should be a good one! Monday 1st TAWA HISTORICAL SOCIETY - Executive Meeting
Have an interest in things historical in the Tawa area - we would welcome your involvement, your enquiries and new members. The Executive Committee meets at The Tawa Community Centre coffee area, 5 Cambridge Street, at 7.30pm. For further information contact Bill Hinkley, Secretary, on 232 4327.
Saturday 6th TAWA LIONS CHRISTMAS PARADE
The parade will start at 2pm, with participants assembling at Tawa School at 1pm. The parade route is from Oxford Street on to the Main Road (by Mexted Motors), through the town shopping centre, on to Surrey Street and ending at Tawa Junction carpark.

All community groups and businesses are welcome to participate. Those who are not already 'registered' but wish to take part in the parade should contact either Ken Coad 232 2475 or Mike Baker 232 6406. Click here for pics of earlier parades.
